Soda, flowers, and lime. · 1 drink

  • 140 mlCold soda water
  • 15 mlElderflower syrup
  • 1Lime wheel
  • 1 sprigMint

Steps

Build it in a wine glass.

  2. 2Add ice and the rest of the soda.

When soda is the base, there is nowhere for a heavy syrup pour to hide. Fifteen millilitres of elderflower syrup is the ceiling. The drink should smell like flowers and taste mostly like cold soda and lime.

Serve it in a wine glass anyway. The shape is part of how a spritz works at a table: everyone has the same kind of glass, some with wine and some without.
